OUR HISTORY

Founded in 2018, Strong Unity for Refugee Empowerment (SURE) is a refugee-led community-based organization committed to transforming lives through education, innovation, and climate resilience. Operating from Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya, we believe displacement is not the end of potential — it is a call to rebuild lives with dignity, hope, and self-reliance.

SURE empowers children, youth, and women from displaced and host communities through initiatives that promote livelihoods, digital access, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability. We stand for unity, empowerment, and long-term solutions that drive inclusion, climate justice, and socio-economic transformation.
