SURE Academy: Education & Youth Empowerment
Description:
SURE Academy provides inclusive education for children and youth from both refugee and host communities. Programs cover literacy, numeracy, STEM, digital literacy, life skills, and leadership development. We nurture creativity, critical thinking, and community-minded leaders who are prepared to transform their societies
Impact: 400+ students enrolled. Specialized programs for girls, vulnerable youth, and children with disabilities. Enhanced leadership and life skills for young changemakers
2. Digital Sun: Solar Wi-Fi Labs for Connected Futures
Description:
Digital Sun empowers youth with digital literacy, internet access, and STEM learning. Our solar-powered Wi-Fi labs provide students and young entrepreneurs from refugee and host communities the tools to innovate, learn, and participate in the global digital economy.
Impact: 200+ youth trained in digital skills Increased access to online learning and innovation opportunities fosters entrepreneurship and STEM engagement
3. Water for Dignity
Rainwater Harvesting & Hygiene Initiative.
SURE provides clean water access and hygiene education through rainwater harvesting systems, boreholes, handwashing stations, and community-led sanitation programs. The project benefits both refugee and host communities, improving health, water security, and resilience.
Impact:1,500+ households served, reduced waterborne diseases, Sustainable water management and hygiene practices
4. She Leads the Green Shift
Climate Action & Women Empowerment.
This initiative empowers women and youth from refugee and host communities to lead climate action and sustainable development efforts. Participants receive training in renewable energy, green entrepreneurship, and community-led environmental projects.
Impact: 120 women and 300 youth trained. Multiple community-driven environmental projects implemented promote sustainable livelihoods and climate leadership
5. Play for Peace: Sports for Protection & Education
Play for Peace uses sports and recreation to foster social cohesion, psychosocial support, and leadership skills. Children and youth from both refugee and host communities participate in structured programs that teach teamwork, resilience, and conflict resolution.
Impact: 500+ youth engaged, enhanced mental and physical well-being, strengthened inter-community harmony and collaboration
6. She Farms Solar: Women’s Climate Agripreneurship
This project integrates renewable energy with agriculture, enabling women and youth from refugee and host communities to cultivate crops using solar-powered irrigation. It strengthens food security, generates income, and promotes climate-smart farming practices.
Impact: 50 women and youth trained. Increased household income and food security. Climate-resilient farming solutions established
7. EcoFemme Market: Women-Led Green Enterprises
EcoFemme Market promotes women-led eco-friendly businesses, providing mentorship, market access, and entrepreneurship training to women from refugee and host communities.
Impact: 35 women-led businesses launched or strengthened. Local economic growth and environmental sustainability were enhanced Opportunities for women’s economic empowerment created
8. Community Awareness & Advocacy Programs
SURE runs awareness campaigns, workshops, and forums promoting rights, gender equality, youth leadership, and social cohesion. Refugee and host communities actively participate to identify local challenges and co-create solutions.

10. Strong Unity Entrepreneurship Hub

11. Umoja Greenlands Clean Water Project
