At Strong Unity for Refugee Empowerment (SURE), we believe that every child deserves a bright beginning—regardless of displacement, poverty, or background. Our Early Childhood Development (ECD) Program provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where young children (ages 3–6) can learn, grow and thrive. In communities facing crisis like Kakuma Refugee Camp and neighboring host areas, early childhood support is not just education—it is lifesaving, life-shaping, and future-building. SURE’s ECD program equips young learners with the essential skills they need for cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development.
Strong Unity for Refugee Empowerment (SURE) supports communities to grow food sustainably, reduce dependency on aid, and build climate resilience. At the same time, SURE strengthens Early Childhood Education by providing young children with safe learning spaces, foundational literacy and numeracy skills, emotional support, and opportunities for holistic development. This early start helps refugee children grow with confidence, improves school readiness, and builds a stronger, more resilient future generation.
